# Dynamic residential

> Rotating or sticky residential exits, billed by traffic.

Dynamic residential proxies route each request through a residential exit in the region you choose. Use rotating mode for independent requests, or a sticky session when a short workflow needs the same exit for a while.

## At a glance

| | |
| - | - |
| Billing | Traffic packages in GB, each valid for a fixed number of days (currently 30) |
| Protocols | HTTP (also for HTTPS destinations) and SOCKS5 |
| IP mode | Rotating, or sticky for 1–120 minutes |
| Region | Any region, or a country, state and city where available |
| Usage | Daily usage per sub-account, exportable as CSV |

Current packages and USD prices are on the [pricing page](https://ipcrazy.com/pricing) and in the console under **Buy products → Dynamic residential**.

## How traffic works

* Buying a package grants its traffic to your dynamic sub-account. Your first purchase creates the sub-account automatically.
* When you hold several packages, traffic is deducted from the one that expires first.
* Only packages that are unexpired and not revoked count toward your available traffic.
* A sub-account is paused when it has no traffic left or its packages have expired, and resumes when new traffic is granted.
* Usage figures come from the network provider's verified data and can lag by a short time.

<Note>
  Sticky sessions keep the same exit for the window you choose but do not guarantee a permanent IP. If you need a fixed IP, use [static residential](/products/static-residential) or [static native](/products/static-native).
</Note>

## Limitations

* Creating additional sub-accounts or moving traffic between sub-accounts is not self-service.
* Proxy traffic goes directly from your software to the proxy entry, so ipcrazy has no per-request logs. Only daily usage is available.
